My daughter has been attending Marina EEC for the past 2 years and will be culminating this June. Both she and I love this school. I am so thankful for the entire staff from Ms. Eboni at Front Office, Ms Veloria, Ms. Griffen, Ms. Flores, to ALL the staff for being so professional, caring, and always taking time to communicate with me. Their curriculum, learning programs, and Jump Start have proven to be positive learning tools that encourage reading, writing, mathematics, and overall imagination with fun!! I do recommend this school all the time. I hope your child has the same great experiences my child and myself will take away with us!
I am giving this school a 3 star rating because they just called out of the blue, months after i handed my paperwork in on time, to say that they made a mistake and have to "terminate my child immediately" (exact words used). I received a slight raise at work in the summer, which put us over the threshold, totally understandable, but not acceptable. I hand in paperwork on time, pay on time, and to receive a call half way through a school year (it is very hard to find child care in LA, let along half way through a school year!!) with no sympathy nor options given. My child is distraught. My child teachers, past and present, are devastated and still do not understand how a 'family welcoming' child care center can be so wrong and heartless. I am an active PTA parent in California, volunteer at all my children's schools, and this is the kind of treatment you expect to get.
Management is terrible. But the teachers and volunteers are all very wonderful and offer an excellent program.
My oldest daughter graduated from Marina early education center about almost a year ago and now attends St Anne School and has not had one problem taking on kinder this center has prepared her beyond my expectations. So now my 3 year old son attends this center and I can see a really big improvement in his developmental growth since he started and he is very happy here. I think this center deserves a lot of credit the teachers are really well trained and are the best from ms.Valoria to Ms. Emily and Ms. Flores all of the aids and the other teachers as well the principal and secretary do a great job administrating the center. Their easy to get along with and you can easily communicate your concerns to. I love this school very much I'm glad to be a part of it.
Based on personal experience the preschool staff are very friendly my daughter (who is hard to please) loves her teachers very much , returns back home with a nice painting everyday and she loves the place
My daughter graduated from Marina Early Education in 2012. Now my son attends Marina Early Ed. Marina Early Education's Staff and teachers are wonderful. My son has an extreme case of allergies, and I appreciate the continuous support from staff & teachers. They continuoulsy work hard to ensure that my child does not come in contact with any foods that may harm him. I feel safe knowing that I am leaving my son in great hands Monday through Friday at Marina Early Education. Thank you for taking great care of my children over the years.

We have been volunteering at Marina since September '13 and have nothing but good things to say. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The teacher are great with the children as well. They respect the children when talking to them and use developmentally appropriate lessons. They always strive to do whats best for the children and help further their education.
Based on personal experience, I would not recommend this center. They are usually short staffed. In addition, most of them look miserable. And some of them are very unprofessional. They do not know how to work with children. They tend to scream and even put their hands on children. If you make the mistake of taking your child to this center, make sure you ask your child every single day to tell you about their day. Children are innocent and sometimes are afraid to speak up.
