Description: Branches Atelier is a Preschool in Culver City, California committed to creating high-quality, creative, dynamic, educational programs for children, families and educators. The school is proud on being a social constructivist program, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. Based on the fundamental belief that children learn best when their work is meaningful and given in a social context, the school integrate all areas of curriculum though short-term explorations as well as long-term projects. Children are viewed as protagonists in their learning and are encouraged to work in collaboration with their peers to construct new theories and ideas. The school creates learning environments that are rich in complexity, reflect our connect with nature and that offer multiple possibilities for the child’s exploration, investigation and creative experience. The beautiful learning environments are designed with great care, attention to detail all while being very aesthetically pleasing. Most importantly, this reflects the underling belief that all children deserve to work in an environment that is worthy of their creativity and intelligence.

Connect, Seek Advice, Share Knowledge
We have participated in both the infant and toddler parent and me programs and have had an amazing experience. The teachers are nurturing, compassionate, and amazing. We especially love Francesca who has taught us so much about RIE, Reggio, and early childhood generally.
The physical setting is an absolute dream! The outdoor area is spacious and has sand, water, a cave!!, climbing hill, and gardens. When you walk in through the gates, you truly feel as though you have entered a magical world. The building and classrooms are absolutely magical as well and filled with child sized furniture, books, and top quality art materials.
On top of all this, the community events for the families are wonderful and include annual visits to the pumpkin farm, strawberry picking, picnic, elementary school presentations and more.
For preschool, there is a low student teacher ratio, cozy classrooms for approx. a dozen children each, and a variety of schedule options to meet the needs of families.
