Malverne Morning and Afterschool Center, Inc. (MAC) is a not for profit charitable organization that provides quality afterschool program for the children in the Malverne Schools from the towns of Malverne, West Hempstead, Rockville Centre and Lynbrook. MAC was incorporated in 1997 as a tax exempt organization under section 501 (c) 3 with public charity status 509 (a) (2). MAC operates on-site centers at Maurice W. Downing Elementary School for Kindergarten to Grade 2 students, Davison Elementary School for Grades 3 and 4 students, and the Howard T. Herber Middle School for Grades 5 - 8 students. MAC is a quality afterschool center which provides a safe and secure environment and adequate, worthwhile supervision of children during the crucial before and after school hours. The Morning session for MAC is open at 6:45AM at the Maurice Downing and Davison Elementary Schools. The Afterschool Centers at the three schools starts rights after school dismissal upto 6:30pm. MAC is open on school days and closed on all school holidays. MAC may be open on certain early dismissal/extended days.
