Mrs.Shelia is the devil Mar 31, 2020

Mrs.Sheila is a devil, a manipulative liar, and has some sort of narcissistic personality. My daughter Mercedes worked at this facility until she passed unexpectedly. At the time of her passing I was living abroad in West Africa, and Mrs. Sheila took in my 3 grandchildren until I arrived 4 days after the death of my daughter. At first I thought Mrs.Shelia was a great person until her true color came shining through, and my grandkids told me how mean she treated them in her home. She made them sit down all day in one room not allowing them to move out of their spots because she didn't want them touching anything in her home. They said she constantly asked them questions telling them there mother was dead, and if it wasn't for her letting them come to her house they would be living outside, etc. She also had an insurance policy on my daughter, and continuously called the Richmond County Coroner's Office questioning them about my daughter's death, what funeral home her remains were released to, what her cause of death was, etc. The Coroner's Office assured me that with every call Mrs. Sheila made to them that by law they couldn't release any information to her. I appreciated them making me aware of what Mrs.Sheila was doing but, it didn't stop there she recruited others to call when she couldn't get any information, the nerve? I also had to call the police while in Augusta packing up my daughter's apartment because Toni Smith, and Mrs. Sheila kept calling my cellphone trying to convince me that my daughter's landlord, and some caseworker said Toni could remain in my daughter's apartment until the end of the month. Mrs. Sheila demanded that I give Toni the door key. The harassing continued off, and on about the door key until Toni, and her boyfriend who drove a white pickup truck began knocking at the door, and waiting outside my daughter's apartment. At that point I notified law enforcement, and Toni was advised not to return. Mrs. Sheila continued to call myself, and my sister in Ohio but, we refused to take any of her calls. She continued to try to get one of us to take her calls for more than a month, and also had others try to get through (psycho b****). Then one day I get a phone call from Columbia County law enforcement stating they received a complaint of harassment, and terroristic threats by Sheila Mccladdie against me. I was floored to say the least so I forwarded every missed phone call in my call log to the officers, as well as voicemails Mrs.Shelia left. I told the officer "now ask Mrs. Sheila to show you a single call I have made to her phone? Later I received a call back from the officer informing me that if Mrs. Sheila calls me again to contact them, and she would face charges (lol). Mrs.Shelia is obviously plagued with some sort of mental illness. Needless to say her lies backfired, and she stopped her harassment after that. In November an anonymous person (Mrs.Shelia) posted a very nasty post on social media about my deceased daughter but, I refused to entertain foolishness. I just asked The Most High to deal with these wicked vessels, and now Mrs.Sheila's daycare is closed permanently. The saying goes God Don't Like Ugly, and He will deal with wicked folks just give it to Him. My daughter Mercedes is free from the worries of this life, Halleluyah!

On behalf of Magic Wonders daycare to the csra community the center recently was negatively accused of abusing children and there were supposedly videos of employees abusing children. There was an investigation and the center once again was found in good standing! We are here to serve the community and provide a safe and nurturing environment. We thank you for your support and understanding. We will pray for this individual to find peace and happiness in her life and all the others that tagged along.

I am an employee

As a formal employee of Magic Wonder I'm witness always the lack of understanding and disrespect of certain unhappy, past clients , past employees and their friends that tag along with false accusations against the center policies and procedures , other teachers, center director and center director assistant. Now we are facing threats from this individuals to formal Magic Wonder employees and now posted in social media. Do they have an understanding that threats posted in social media or publicly made and witness by other citizens are punishable by law? Let's begin with these new call employees that are hired and in the first day of work expecting to be offered free Daycare for their children. I have never heard such a thing . Reduce services offer to the employees , absolutely. Also understand that this new teachers are coming from other facilities and were fired because they were incompetent teachers. When working in a new daycare , leave out the ideas of how they work there . Every center has their own policies and procedures is up to you to follow them. Attitudes in the first day of work should be one positive and not one I see all on your face a frowning face. When it comes to cell phones they are prohibited for the sake and safety of the children taking in consideration " the unwanted media exposure they may undergo. This is a request from some of our clientele" We respect our clients. If you are taking unauthorized pictures of videos of our students that is illegal. Even if you consider your self an employee on the first day of work. We do take pictures and videos of some of our students only those students with legal parent agreements. Only designed teachers are allow to take pictures of the students to be posted in Magic Wonder Facebook page or on Class Dojo . If you took pictures of our students that's the reason you got fired. Also explain to us and the authorities where are those six videos of teachers abusing kids that were send to the local news station? There is none, because it was only a way for this person try to blackmail Magic Wonder management and staff members. Let's address the accusations of the teachers " supposedly " mistreating the students. There is a center director in place and a center director assistant ready to fired any teacher that displayed any kind of misconduct. Parents with old pictures of children with bruises. Well their allegations were found with no cause. Thanks to the investigations of DFCS agents, Bright from the Start monitors and Columbia County police officers. We always in good standing ! We really have great center and for some people that is a hard pill to swallow. The parent never address that she have a child with food allergies. We took in consideration her child needs and thanks that she provided the food was way to accommodate this child particular needs and the child was safe at all times. The bruises are explainable as simple as her kids not wearing the proper shoes ( cover toes cover heels) and you bring your child on flip flops all the time, understating that your children still gaining gross motor autonomy , then you will expect your child to be injured. There were fights between her daughters and sons , everyday. The teachers in an attempt to help her sons and daughters negative behavior work with positive ways of redirection. It seems desperate to me. Looking for pity in social media , this is why people come up with lies. This means two things : You are not a Christian and you are just , lonely. They will tell you the lies for you to believe or part of the story, but they will never tell you the truth ( what really happened). They will never tell you the good that the center director does for the community. She always helps everyone regardless of their religious beliefs or cultural backgrounds. She just recently took under temporary custody three siblings to prevent been separated after the sudden death of their mother. Our center director is a Christian and she is truly a good person.

I am an employee

I got hired to work at Magic Wonder 11/08/2019 & My start date was 11/19/2019 .. I was super excited because I love kids & I was going to enroll my son because it would save me money having him going to a daycare I worked at verses the 795 I am currently paying a month for my 3year old son to attend Augusta Prep.

On Tuesday 11/19 , I started working in the 1 & 2 year old class, & the way they mistreat those kids had me SHOOK ! As a mother myself, I was baffled in the way the lead teacher Ms Toni was snatching kids up & throwing them on mats , screaming at them , & banging on tables VERY LOUDLY & insulting kids. I was so taken aback at the way things were ran at the daycare. Even in the infant room I relieved the teacher in there while she went on her lunch & one of the twins were crying & I asked if i could hold the child & she told me to just let the baby cry & told the baby several times to
" Shut Up " .. During nap time , I witness the lead teacher forcefully pushing kids heads into the mats , physically throwing them down onto the mats , & very heavily patting their backs all while yelling " I SAID GO TO SLEEP " or " LAY DOWN " . I talked to my immediate supv & expressed to her how uncomfortable I was with the physical & verbal abuse that i was witnessing & she advised me she was uncomfortable herself but she had just started & trying to get used to the way things were ran herself. I left Tuesday feeling disheartened because I felt pressed to report what I was witnessing, but i didn't want to be fired!

Wednesday morning 11/20 I showed back up @ 8:30am with a positive attitude. Things were well since a lot of the kids hadn't arrived yet . I was sitting on the carpet with 1 child sitting on each leg & one in the middle of me watching " A Bee Movie " when the director Ms Sheila arrived & saw me sitting on the floor interacting with the kids & she told me to get up & move around that sitting with the kids wasn't okay . During this exchange one of the kids ran to the steps in the classroom & laid on them & the lead teacher Ms Toni grabbed him by the back of his shirt & snatched him up & slammed him into his chair & yelled at him saying " do not move from this chair again until i say so " . Totally uncomfortable I looked over at Ms Sheila & she said " these kids are bad " .. I was totally shocked .. After nap ( which went exactly the same way as the day before) & snack time the kids were rowdy ( as most energetic 1 & 2 year olds are ) and we were trying to get them to sit at the tables & participate in " Table Time Play " .. Ms Shiela came back in the classroom to assist & I was having to repeatedly tell the babies to stay in their seat & but every time the door bell rang with parents picking up their child the kids would run to the steps . Again , Ms Toni was snatching kids up by arms , legs , shirts , & jackets & throwing them in chairs . Apparently, me asking the kids to come back to their seats & talking to them as if they are CHILDREN was inappropriate , because Ms Toni (the lead teacher) advised me IN FRONT OF THE DIRECTOR ( Ms Sheila ) " sometimes you are just gonna have to grab them up & sit them down because they don't listen. However , I continued treating the kids like KIDS & asking them to return to their seats. Ms Sheila then looked at me & asked me " was i not comfortable discipling the kids " & I told her " I wasn't okay with putting my hands on them " & continued trying to get them to their seats after i continued to do things my way & not snatching the kids up like the lead teacher the director told me I could leave for the day .. After leaving I consulted with my mother because I couldn't wrap my head around the way they were treating the kids there & I wanted some advise on what i should do & she advised me to " Pray On It "

Thursday morning I woke up & decided I would talk to Ms Sheila when I got to work that morning. When I walked in the door @ 8:33 the immediate supv stopped me & told me she needed me to fill out some w2 paperwork , once i filled that out she said " I really hate to do this to you , but Ms Sheila told me to terminate you " .. I was completely shocked! & by 8:40 I was being walked back out the door with the promise to mail my check .

The way I was treated for not wanting to mistreat the children was completely shocking to say the least . However , the way they treat the kids there is ludicrous! I was able to snag about 6 videos to prove my point of abuse & I have reported them to cps & dfcs , along with starting the process of wrongful termination lawsuit! They don't care about their employees unless you are into physically & verbally abusing them , & DEFINITELY don't care about the wellbeing of the kids!
whatever you do
???? DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE !

I have work for Magic Wonder for about 5 years. I am proud to say that I work in a great facility, with wonderful owners, center director, colleagues, parents, guardians and our main reason to be , our wonderful students! Magic Wonder have been in business for 20 years now. Recently , Magic Wonder offer an expanded facility. Brand new rooms for infants and 3-year-olds. Despite the negative comments that some have posted ( read this well future clientele) Magic Wonder still a growing community . We offer nothing but the higher educational standards. We place always well in Bright from the Start monitoring visits. Our staff members are also high qualified and well trained. Above all Magic Wonder still blessed and will always be. For those with negative comments, wanting services that are against Bright from the Start policies and procedures or the Center it self ,know that we pray for you and we wish you the best whenever that special place the good Lord may place you. We are sure that w e will continue to serve the CSRA for many years to come.

This review is in response to Sam. Sam you can not base the experience you received at Big Blue Marble on what will or won't happen at another facility. Magic Wonder Daycare is a beautiful facility and it was recently remodeled to accommodate more children. I doubt that you toured the facility because if you did your face to face contact with the director would not have been unpleasant. I do not know who you spoke with on the phone but you must understand that everyone's main priority is the children.
I have known the director for quite some time and my children have attended for YEARS now. Never once has any of my children been harmed by any other children and definitely not by staff. I am sorry that happened but to write a bad review about Magic Wonder based on the experience at Big Blue Marble is unfair to this outstanding facility and you should be some what ashamed of yourself.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Hello all i cant believe the negative reviews from parents that have not even attended this daycare. My experience as a parent with 2 children that go here is that the staff is amazing Ms. Brown is an amazing teacher and has taught my daughter so much. My son upon arrival went straight to his classroom and at felt comfortable so this was a huge comfort factor for me and it was very clean. Mrs. Sheila is very stern and about the safety and care of the children so she is very straight forward and blunt but sweet. She does so much for the children and especially during summer time. Shes a great director and all other the teachers there are sweethearts and like second moms to my kids lol my daughter even calls Mrs. Brown mom. BEST DAYCARE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY hands down and their playgrounds are always so neat and clean.

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

God of all mighty. The woman who answered the phone is extremely rude and hung up on me twice in a matter of 5 minutes without any reason. I was referred to call this day care and speak with the "Director". The first time I called, I said, "Hello. How are you?" and introduced myself. then asked for the director's name. She asked why I was calling and I said, I was referred to you and have a couple questions. I again asked who is the director. She hung up. So, I am thinking of a accidental disconnect. I call back again and ask the same question "Director"??? she says I am, wound not give name. then started raising her voice, "WHY ARE YOU CALLING. YOU KEEP CALLING..." I told her that I only called twice, because she disconnected me the first time for no reason. Then she hung up again.
CONCLUSION: I have taken my babies to a lot better day cares, with much nicer staff, and my baby ended up with BRUISES ALL OVER HER ARMS and LEGS (pinch marks) on her third day and a big mark under her left eye on her fifth day there (BIG BLUE MARBLE ACADEMY, behind the Cola county Library). Big Blue sold us in the idea that we can watch its video anytime, but refuses to provide anything to us despite our repeated request. Now, I can not IMAGINE what will happen to them in this daycare when its DIRECTOR/OWNER is so EXTEMERLY rude

An Honest Reviewer Nov 30, 2017
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have to give an honest review of the facility and the owner that everyone says is so very rude. I have been a parent at Magic Wonder for several years now and Ms. Sheila has never disrespected me and staff have always took excellent care of our children. I have read the negative comments and to me they seem to come from bitter parents who wanted Ms. Sheila to bend according to what they needed. I highly doubt any sane person would continue to bring their child to a facility they claim is hurting them. Furthermore some of these reviews are a long stretch for attention. I have small children and when they are home playing outside they get dirt everywhere. Some of you parents are just upset at how your relationship ended with the facility so now you are out to tarnish their name. I find it disgusting that you can even do such a thing. My kids have never had an issue and they were constantly telling me about activities they participated in such as slip and slides, cook outs etc. So that is an honest review from an honest reviewer.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

This is not a place I recommend anyone take their child. As other people on here and the Google page have said the owner is rude and if you ask questions expect to be treated poorly. Sheila refuse to give us our contract in order to make a copy and made an excuse every time we asked for it. I won't go on along since mostly every bad review on here are the same complaints we have. Every time we picked up our 6 month daughter her diaper was filled and looked like she hadn't been changed in awhile. We have found dirt and other things such as feces from lack of wiping good. Asked anytime about why this happened we received the same answer "we don't know" Horrible experience and place to bring your child. Trust me I thought all these bad reviews were just overly angry parents until we experienced all this ourselves. This place needs to be investigated and also there times of operations is not correct. As in the owner shuts down when she feels like it even if you pay for the full day. Parents stay away!!!

On Behalf of the Director Jun 29, 2017
I am the owner

A select few individuals tend to take my unwillingness to break the vow I took when deciding to become a daycare provider as me being rude, but providong excellent care to my children is my #1 priority. Magic Wonder Daycare Learning Center takes the concerns of parents very serious. We respect and value each parents opinions. Our goal is to make education fun and exciting for children of all ages. My staff and I work deligently to ensure the wellness of the children, cleanliness of our facility and safety of the children. We believe in promoting healthy children and our dietary menu is diverse to accomodate the various ethnic backgrounds our children come from. When a child has a birthday that is a major milestone for them. We allow the child to choose a party and most times, children select pizza. We cover the expenses for having that party catered. Magic Wonder Daycare Learning Center is a quality rated facility with an exceptional staff and we look forward to continuously providing our services to the families that love us.

Rude and unprofessional Apr 19, 2017
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Sheila, the owner, is very rude and unpleasant. She gets very offended when concerns are addressed. She feels like she can talk to whomever however she wants. She closes the center early very often. People that pay for evening care shouldn't have to get off of work early because the daycare is closing early for non holidays. My kids ate little caesars pizza 2-3 times a week. The meals are thrown together. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone unless you can deal with not being able to voice your concerns.

As a previous employee, this place is terrible. The head woman there Mrs Shelia is terrible. All the teachers treat the kids horribly. Mrs Shelia is the rudest woman I've ever met. The place is disgusting and the rules there are ridiculous. They make parents stand outside and cannot go further than the front door. I'm glad a quit.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I would heavily advise against using Magic Wonder Daycare Learning Center... We had to pull our daughter Rinoa out immediately! Earlier this week (Monday) they kept saying that she had strep throat and told us that she could not come back without a doctor's note. We obtained a doctor's note (She was fine and strep free.) and then yesterday (Wednesday) they said she needed ANOTHER doctors note because "she did have strep" according to them (Miss Sheila and Miss Brown). I called them today to explain that if my wife Krissy keeps missing work and paying for additional doctor visits then we LOSE money. It is my strong belief that they just did not want to watch her after talking with Miss Sheila who runs the daycare. She was extremely haughty, unpleasant and borderline rude when I spoke with her trying to convey my feelings (Interrupting me, raising her voice, talking over me, ect.) Good riddance to this place. *Additionally this facility took reviews down from their Facebook because of negative reviews* https://www.facebook.com/jeremyawhaley/posts/10157722285535468?pnref=story
