Description: Loveland Sports and Academic Day Camp is a non-profit group dedicated to helping families by providing constructive out-of-school sports learning programs. The Sports Day Camp allows children to try a variety of sports to determine interests and strengths, to increase self esteem, learn sportsmanship, teamwork and develop athletic skills. Loveland Sports and Academic Camp is a day program only. The Loveland Sports and Academic Camp now offers reading, literacy and mathematics, in addition to great sports and activities. A grant from the Thompson Education Association afforded the Loveland Sports and Academic Camp to add reading, literacy and math components. Camper testing showed excellent gains in reading fluency and comprehension as well as math skills.

My son was really looking forward to attending and the camp was so great to let him in mid-summer, when most camps are filled.
I processed all my information through their website and got a confirmation email that we would start the following week. Yay!
Today, I received a very unprofessional email from this camp demanding I get my info in and telling me how they were charging me no matter what. The tone was yelling, complete with multiple question marks.
I emailed back and wrote out a list of all the actions I had followed, per their instruction. The person replying apologized and said they were confusing our family with another.
Personally, no family needs to be talked to like that, and especially if it's a miscommunication that can be cleared up with an email, text or phone call. Plus, if someone is talking to me through email like that, how are they speaking to the kids, with nobody watching? I am not taking those chances.
Needing flexible summer childcare was very important for me. I chose this camp. I have 2 children and have had nothing but troubles there. If I could find another option to finish out the summer I would. They are a group of either high school or college students running a camp and unable to deal with any behavioral issues and actually label some children. They send one home for doing something bad while the others involved are not sent home. It is a double standard. Don't show up even one minute early either as their "license does not cover them until 7am". Although their clock is a good 7 mins behind a verizon cell phone and they are always running late with excuses such as I couldn't get the door unlocked and the printer was out of toner EVERY SINGLE DAY. After multiple requests for receipts for payments still none have been given. I will not take my children back after this experience and highly recommend others to avoid unless you have a perfect little angel to take them. They obviously need childcare training before continuing this camp.
