About the Provider
Little Shepherd's Kidz Place was built inside of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in the summer of 2006. Initially the center was open for only employees who worked at the nursing home. During January of 2012 we opened enrollment to the public. However, the staff at Mt. Carmel still get first shot with open positions as well as a discount for childcare services.
We follow the Eden principals which incorporate animals and children into the lives of the elders. The preschool children eat breakfast in the main dining room with the elders each weekday morning. We serve children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We are a small center with only 12 children at one time. This allows us to focus on each child in a fun, safe, and Christian environment. We also provide Preschool to prepare the children for entering kindergarten.
