I have used this provider for more than 6 months
The owner of this Daycare, Dori McEvoy, is not invested in the establishment at all. Plenty of days, my child's shoes came home terribly filthy as if she were outside (and if she was outside that'd be okay and make sense to me), however, that wasn't the case. The carpets are old, stained, and dirty (I donated one to my daughter's class that's how bad they are). The "girls" as the owner Dori refers to them are NOT licensed teacher's (but she tells you they are!). They're college students looking to pass time for class credits. Any time you look in through the crack of the window, the children are running around and the "girls" are sitting in a corner watching. Nothing is structured! My child came home with bleach on her clothes, scratches on her stomach, and I'll stop there but I could keep going! LPD admits children with special needs (current & former staff have shared this with me) but again does not have trained licensed staff to meet the needs of the children. I went months without conducting a COVID health screening because I wanted to see how long it'd be before they said anything; they said nothing at all! When I asked for incident reports, they provided me with fraudulent incident reports all written in on the same day!
Do not put your child here! The owner isn't receptive to feedback AT ALL. The staff turnover is ridiculous and is as quick as a revolving door!Anytime I addressed my concerns with the owner, she was rude and defensive!!! On the last go round of me sharing my feedback because they served the kids snacks off of a bare table (yeah no napkin, no plate), she told me I could take my child out if I was unhappy as if I didn't know I had that option! If you see a good review, I'm almost certain it's written by one of their own or a parent that is in real need of childcare and perhaps isn't aware of the ins and outs of daycare management and operations.
I will say there is one childcare provider, Ms. Lisa, who is the epitome of AMAZING and is the ONLY reason my child stayed at LPD for as long as she did.
I am giving the place two starts for decor. Its adorable on the inside but thats about it. My 3 year old daughter was here for 4 months and everyday she cried like someone was going to kill her. i know crying is expected at this age but my problem was more with the unprofessional staff. The two owners are experienced child care providers thats it . the others are unprofessional - either grandmothers or relatives of theirs with no experience. Nobody ever said good morning as you dropped your child off. No teacher ever smiled. there was never a warm welcome which is why i know 100% that my daughter never felt at ease. i eventually took her out and put her in st Benedicts and here she woke up happy as a clam to go !!! at little prodigies my daughter was bored. Plenty of times i would come to get my daughter from little prod. and she would be just sitting there doing nothing. The whole class would be walking around aimlessly. i dont think they ever had any activities planned. all the girls ( teachers ) every did was sit in a corner and watch them play or sit amongst themselves in the mornings and talk with eachother. nobody ever helped me with my daughter when she would have her fits. so unprofessional. very disappointed. overall two stars solely for decor.
