Description: The first 2000 days of a child’s life occur before they go to school – and those 2000 days are formational and foundational for life. At Carlisle UMC, we are proud to partner with parents to help children know they are loved by God and learn each day.
Little Lights believes in the importance of children feeling loved and secure. At our center we plan to instill the values of love, respect, compassion and forgiveness. The children will participate in activities that will enhance their self-esteem and they will come to understand that they are unique individuals created by God.
Little Lights Learning Center operates Monday-Friday from 6:30am-5:30 pm. We offer full day child care for ages 6 weeks through 5 years. Our full day child care schedules can range from one to five days per week depending on your family’s needs. Our part day programming options begin at age 3. Part Day Programs run from 9am-11:15am. Until this facility has a new board, a new director and new staff, I strongly recommend against attending this daycare center. They have lost children (left one on their playground, lost one in a public park that was returned to the group by a concerned citizen who then reported it to the police), have had allegations of physical and verbal abuse, have/had classrooms where the teachers have relationships outside of school that cause a dangerous environment where they have the ability to cover for one another (mom/daughter co-teachers, boyfriend/girlfriend co-teachers), are rude and insult the parents (a member of the board accidentally copied me on an email he meant to send to the director and the pastor that said I have a “history of whining” simply because I voiced my concerns to him when things got really bad), and have been on a provisional license twice in the past couple of years. While there are a special select few who are wonderful, many of the teachers made me very uncomfortable. There is much potential for a great childcare option in Carlisle, but in order to get there an entire overhaul needs to take place. We left the facility in March of 2020 because of the numerous issues there, but the same director and board are still there.
