Description: We believe that families, teachers, and the learning environment should all work together to support young children's developing fluency in language and emerging literacy skills. Developmentally appropriate displays - print with photos, nursery rhymes, and seasonal displays affords the children many opportunities to talk with each other and with their teachers, to listen, to question, to explore, to read and write for real-life purposes. The environment is designed to support language and literacy. The classrooms are supportive, respectful, and inclusive to families. We welcome and involve families with photos, developmental panels, parent communication boards with current events and volunteer opportunities, and a mail center to send and receive written messages within the program.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

We spent almost 8 years at Little Lamb Nursery. Our children both started at 4 months and stayed until they went off to Kindergarten. Little Lamb provided them with a safe, loving, caring and nurturing environment to thrive and grow. They treated them as if they were members of their own family. The teachers were always willing to work with us through the years as we had questions or concerns about our children's development. They provided a solid educational foundation which set our children up for great success and a seamless transition into grade school. We had a wonderful experience with Little Lamb and would recommend them to families seeking childcare in the Dover area. The staff left a lasting impact on our children. They speak fondly of their time there and of their teachers.
I had my daughter go to Little Lamb from when she was 18 months. At first the teachers were very caring and attentive. After a month I saw that the dogs were in the kids sleeping area. The curriculum was not challenging and above all the owners are the worst. Have you had any daycare where the owner does not even participate in the Christmas party? 3 weeks of vacation per year for which you have to pay for! And when I gave my 30 day written notice, the owner said it was 30 business days of notice not 30 calendar days. Atrocious is the word! Also there were 2 incidents, first my daughter had 3 stones in her mouth one day when she came home from school. No wonder she wudnt talk to me in the car. Second, one day when I went to pick her up she was in the bathroom all by herself and the teachers dint know where she was. She heard my voice and started crying and calling me. Poor kid was terrified sitting in the dark. The owner's response was, may be some child turned the lights off by mistake. So careless. Dont ever put your child in this daycare. Thanks! A very concerned mom!
