Description:
I have done childcare for over 15 years and opened my own daycare in 2009. I have 2 children of my own and I know daycare is expensive. I am willing to work with parents. I also accept state pay and I am with the food program.I am also willing to open early and work with parents on price. My meals are state approved, the state can come in anytime so I stick to my menus. I have a written contact with parents and have had for 12 years. I have a smaller space so I change my activity every two hours. We have an art table, a Lego table, a number table, a ABC table, a big bin of toys, a reading corner, a kitchen set, Linkin logs, foam blocks, and giant Legos. We do a nap time. The children under 19 months are in pack n play. They are set up at nap then taken down. Older children have nap mats. I do preschool activities most of the day. We will teach alphabet for 20 minutes then play 20 minutes then numbers for 20 minutes then play 20 minutes. We do this all day long. /p>
I give parents a list of days I will be closed or closing early. I give this list the first day of childcare. I have a staff that is amazing. We teach preschool and have children more than ready for school. We do lots of arts and crafts and changed a lot of policies in 2020. We changed our facility as well, so everything is new. I am licensed for 12 but keep my numbers under to give more one on one attention to children.

Do yourself & your family a favor and DO NOT use this facility. I mean, read the owners reply, clearly unprofessional and doesn't handle kids well.
I have contracts with all parents and in them it states that you pay for services the last day here. I turn accts to collections with all emails, texts and bills. I also have a menu we follow. Being licensed the state can come anytime. The only time I called in sick was when I had a fever, my mom died, and my grandmother died.
Lesia and her staff were wonderful with my son. I came and left at different times of the day. They were always teaching the kids or reading books. I came at meal times and it was healthy foods. We love them.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. My kids went for about 8 he's/day while I worked. One day my son (7) told me he was fed only 4 chicken nuggets and a brownie. They was supposed to have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack. My youngest (3) always said how mean they were and cried when we got ready everyday. When we didn't have to drop the kids off, she would still charge us for their spots. She also made you pay for says she was on vacation or sick, with only 2 hours notice. She was rude and horrible to work with. I don't reccomend her to anyone
My daughter was enrolled in Little Ducks for quite some time. Lesia did a good job teaching her basic stuff and feeding her. I was pretty happy with the service provided. The only downsides were paying for her frequent family emergencies and vacations during which no care was provided. Also, the extra charges per minute of arriving after 5:30 were extremely high (keep in mind- she is located quite a ways out of Missoula.)
Towards the end my daughter started hating going there and would cry every morning- a problem which has not repeated itself at our new provider.
And now my reason for the 1star review. Several MONTHS prior to moving, I informed Leisa that I would be moving quickly and would not be needing her services effective the day I moved. She apeared to be fine with that. So I moved into town, found a new daycare etc. and went on with my life. Several months later I recieved a call from a collections agency saying that I owed Leisa TWICE what I paid her per month because I did not give a written notice. I disputed it. A few months later I recieve a notice that was being sued.
All in all, while the service provided was satisfactory, the monentary greed displayed by this provider was enough to make me warn future customers.
