Description: The goal of Little Bear DayCare is to provide a high quality early childhood setting for all of the children in the community at a lower price. We believe that it is very important for children to have a safe place to go while their parents are at work or school and that is exactly what you will find if you choose Little Bear DayCare for your child care needs.
Our Follansbee child care center is one of the few centers statewide to reach the Tier 2 level of quality. This means that our staff and environment goes above and beyond the licensing requirements to provide the best possible atmosphere for you and your child. Our new Weirton location is currently working on achieving the Tier 2 level.
Both of our centers are equipped with keypads at the front doors for added security. This gives parents full access to their children during the day but keeps out "strangers". Each center is also set-up with a camera system that records 24/7, even in the dark. These are just a few of the ways Little Bear goes above and beyond what is required to provide the safest possible environment for your child.
We have a highly trained staff that love to work with children. Click on any of the links to learn a little about each of our rooms and to meet our teachers.
We offer a variety of rates to best suit each family's needs and also accept CCRC certificates as payment, as well as Ohio JFS clients.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

I can only speak for the downtown Weirton location but if you are thinking about putting your Child or Grandchild here please thing again. My Granddaughter started to attend here in May of 2021. She was assigned to Miss Belinda and Mr Nick, never had a problem and they communicated with us very well. A few months ago she was then moved to the Room Next door. Everyday i told the Instructor in that room if there was a problem she was to call My Wife or Myself.Well as time went on i personally witnessed Major Verbal Abuse in that room and with another Instructor from another class as well My Granddaughter came home with Bites and Bruises on her. I did bring this to the Attention of the Main Instructor of my Granddaughters Class and she said she would pass it along. Well a few weeks later i was informed by the Assistant to the owner someone named Jess that my Granddaughter was no longer allowed to attend. This was due to safety concerns to the "Staff" The main Reason was that she was leaving the room and going into the Hall. Well since another Instructor showed the kids where the toys were in the Hall well what do you expect. But anyway My Wife and myself wanted to talk to the Owner Missy about all of this but she did not have the guts to face us but instead had her 20 something Assistant talk to us. When i mentioned the Verbal Abuse she point blank told me that i was lying about it So Parents if you want to put your child in this daycare that is up to you but it is on you. What is sad is my wife and myself were going to make a "nice" Donation to this Daycare but that is not going to happen now. Nothing but a very Unprofessional Staff and Management at the downtown Weirton Location.
