The staff there are very nice. Some bumps and bruises without explanations, but thankfully nothing major. My main issue was my son was 2 years old and not talking. Now boys are usually slower to speak however they placed him in a class where the class attendant, (there are no teachers) spoke little to no English. I spoke to other parents and they were experiencing the same thing. I placed my son in speech therapy and removed him He knows his colors shapes body parts etc. But still delayed speech. I did have him evaluated because I was concerned. He is not autistic.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO LITTLE GIANTS ACADEMY. This school looks beautiful on the outside but, on the inside it is horrible. The director Ms. Cristina is a BULLY, my children were going here as time passed, I felt picked on purposely. First it was a complain about uniforms when Ms Cristina had called me into her office to discuss how my child was not wearing a correct color of pants underneath her skirt to keep her warm since there was an issue on how she was shivering due to her having a condition of anemia, be reminded I had just enrolled my children into the school. the following week again, Ms cristina had given me a letter about giving me a write-up violation do to my daughter having the pants underneath her skirt. Then,another incident occurs again a while afterwards, i had taken my children to the doctors office and after the checkup and all i had requested a late note from the doctors office directly,and it was given. We enter the school to drop off my children,and presented the note to them aswell,however ms cristina said that my children could not be accepted due to the drop off time being over 12:30 and i had reached slightly late. while this all occurs, i already was prepared with my work uniform aswell and they had still refused. i have invested alot of money into this daycare for my children aswell. Shortly after i work i recevied a phone call, that my children have been disenrolled from the school by the assistant director Ms. Jasmine Giving me a simple week to find another child care for my children. This was not even coming from ms.cristina "the director." PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MS CRISTINA AND HER STAFF DO ORGAINIZE PROFILING. My Daughter and Son were left without a proper reason to why they were being disenrolled out of the school. (To anyone looking for a daycare,i would personally say do not look on the exterior on the place,but look for a understanding and caring place to enroll your child in. The Director Ms.Cristina makes little giants academy look horrible at.
Just wanted to share my experience, and advise/warn other parents of Little Giants Academy 2.
This post is for information only.
My daughter was formerly enrolled in Little Giants Academy located at 8197 N. University Drive, Tamarac, FL 33321;
On 9/22/2021 we recieved a call that my 2½ year old daughter had fallen while on the playground slide and as a result had a large bump and bruising on her forehead and cheek from the fall; My wife immediately picked her up, got a copy of the incident report and brought her for evaluation at Coral Springs Medical Center.
On 9/29/2021, we again had recieved a call from Little Giants Academy, my daughter had once again fallen off the slide, receiving a similar injury to her forehead; We immediately went to pick up my daughter, however, at this time the school had claimed that the bump on her forehead was from the previous fall and that the cheek bruising and swelling was due to the chair incident from the previous week. I immediately questioned as to what chair accident the director Ms. Cristina spoke of, she informed me that approximately 30 minutes prior to the playground incident that lead to the head injury,, my daughter had picked up a chair and was walking with it when she tripped resulting in bruising of her cheek. I asked for an incident report, to which we were informed of none being created, but that one would be created now. I then asked the director what steps were going to be taken to mitigate these risks since my daughter has now experienced 3 head injuries in a 7 day period. The director seemed offended by my insinuation that she was not adequately supervised, and claimed that it's unrealistic for the school to be able to provide the level of supervision that I expect, and that by removing my daughter from the playground it would be a punishment and they are firm in their no punishment policy. We disagreed on the idea of removing my daughter from playing unsafe on the equipment, I stated that intervention to protect her from injury wasn't punishment, and that I would sign whatever form they needed so that the teacher could remove her from the elevated playground equipment if she was using it in an unsafe manner. The school and I disagree on the ability to physically intervene in this situation. We removed my daughter and brought her again to Coral Springs Medical Center for the additional head injury, bruising, swelling, and split lip.
Later in the evening at about 6:20 pm, while my daughter was still being evaluated, I had recieved a call from school director Ms. Cristina asking me to come pick up my daughters belongings. I had asked if they were still open due to closing normal operation at 6, and the late pickup fee program at 6:30; I was advised she would be there till 7. I showed up just shortly before 7pm, and was immediately met by Ms. Cristina with my daughters belongings in hand, she then advised me that Little Giants Academy has decided that effectively immediately my daughters care at the school has been terminated, and that I would recieve my unused funds for the week back as a refund, more than likely via Mail at the return of the owner.
Due to the nature of the incident, local authorities were notified, and the information has been filed with them.
As a concerned parent, I ask that when incidents like this occur, please, follow through and document everything; This Learning Academy terminated my daughters care from their school before even asking about my daughter's disposition at the hospital. She was just a number to them, and unfortunately my daughter is suffering due to it.
