Learning Zone Preschool and Child Care is a preschool in Battle Creek, MI offering a nurturing and conducive to learning environment. We make learning a fun activity for kids. If you want quality early education for your child, our learning center is the place you should choose.
Curriculum: We provide children with experiences and activities at their developmental levels to be active learners through the Highscope Curriculum. Active learning comes through child initiative; children choosing how they want to explore materials, searching for answers, and problem solving when they encounter obstacles. This comes through positive adult-child relationships, a child-friendly learning environment, a consistent daily routine and assessments that show what level of development a child is at. To help ensure the best quality program we can offer; we use a "Teacher Based" curriculum and added knowledge from other curriculums (high scope, creative curriculum, etc). The High Scope Curriculum has been tested and is effectiveness choice in curriculums.
Communication is Key!!! It is important for everyone to be on the same page when it comes to the care of the children. Our classroom app allows the families to communicate directly with the classroom from their smart phone! We distribute; daily notes, weekly class newsletters, monthly center newsletter and a monthly menu. We display a Parent Bulletin Board, and share information constantly. Parents are also encouraged to bring any concerns they may have to the Director’s attention immediately. We have a Parent Advisory Committee that meets twice a year; Snacks and Childcare will be provided to all attendees. We also complete 2 conferences per child each year. If your child is enrolled in the GSRP Program you will also have 2 in home visits per school year. When families and teachers work together, the best environment for the children is created.

I'm very disappointed with this place my grandson goes there, I'm upset that they segregate their kids which labels them I'm upset that they don't supervise the segregated kids better, my 4 year old grandson had the toilet seat fall on him and it breaks my heart thinking of this little boy in such agonizing pain and NOBODY came to his aid in fact nobody heard his screams, not to mention the bathroom is in the main hall if a child got the notion to go outside couldn't get back in! I'm saddened I'm the one that mentioned this place in the first place!!!
Very poor in organizing interviews. Failed to called and tell me that they already hired someone else so I used my gas to come across town and I all I get is I'm sorry! Like I have the funds to waste gas like that. I won't go back there again and I won't recommend them to anyone ever. I hope God blesses your business the way you blessed me!
