My son has attended the Learning Place at VAFB for almost a year. We've had many bad experiences, mostly this school year. My final straw has been the unofficial Facebook page that is run by the Parent Advisory Board. They are excellent at shaming the parents. It has all the feelings of the "Mean Girls" club and PTA (People to Avoid). All of this on top of October's shame meeting, in which one of the Expert-Moms stood up to tell us that we are all horrible and so are our children, has only made me feel even more defeated. I am an average Mom. I do my best. I love my children more than anything, and I no longer feel my son is safe, respected, or cared for in their care. I know several other parents that recently withdrew their children for the same reasons... since the October mandatory meeting (or should I say lecture).
