Description: The Peralta Community College District Children’s Centers’ enrollment priority is for low-income students and families in the community. We provide free, low-cost, and full-fee child care. Full-fee openings are available for families who are over the State income ceilings guidelines or for families who are with an Alternative Payment Program. We serve children ages 3 years through Kindergarten entry (must be 3 yrs. by Dec.2 for each school year). The children’s centers are funded through the California State Department of Education, Child Development Division (CDE/CDD). All families must meet the CDE/CDD guidelines for wait lists, priorities for enrollment, and family qualifications.*
All children’s centers staff are required to meet the state education requirements for the CDE/CDD and the state commission on teacher credentialing. The staff is required to meet professional growth requirements by attending classes, conferences, and workshops.
Individual family and their child’s needs are our first priority. Our goal is to provide a high quality environment that is nurturing and safe where your child can learn and grow.
