The carpet was dirty, the flooring around the table that the children eat on was littered with food debris. The laundry was spilling out into the hall, a child care area, and a tripping hazard to the children. The refrigerator in the child care area was in need of cleaning. Spilled items were stuck to the bottom door area. The clutter on the kitchen counter is limiting the amount of space available that can be sanitized appropriately and used for food preparation. | Findings: The outdoor playground steps leading to the slide has a step that is in need of repair. It is not sturdy enough to hold the children. The timbers surrounding the playground are were not anchored causing a tripping hazard for the children. The horse shoe pit was not protected causing a tripping hazard for the children. The metal rod was sticking up and not covered. The fire pit contained ash from previous burns and was accessible to the children. A container containing poison to kill ants was located in the back yard. The provider has a large piece of lattice on the back deck that needs to be put in place. The provider has a hot tub with a cover that is to be locked at all times during child care. The cover was not completely latched. The specialist was able to open the cover and see it was filled with water. | |||
