Linda Verde School is committed to excellence, and we have HIGH EXPECTATIONS of ALL students. Students are expected to meet state standards by the end of the school year. As many of you know, Linda Verde has raised its test scores from 480 to 671 since 2000. That is almost 200 points! This is a direct result of having a GREAT staff, GREAT students, and GREAT EXPECTATIONS! Please take time to review the Grade level Content Standards link on the Lancaster School District website. This will help you be very familiar with what is expected by the end of the school year. If your child is experiencing difficulty with their academics, please make an appointment with their teacher as soon as possible and request that the Student Study Process be started. I want this year to be successful for your child, and working together as a TEAM, we can make this happen. As a way to further this communication, we will mail home assessment data after testing is done. It is important to listen to your child and support him/her by encouraging each child to do his/her best. Attending PTA meetings is one of the best ways to hear about and have a voice in the latest school developments. I will be getting dunked as part of our membership drive during back-to-school night!
