B happy is a scam. Bernadette is very ghetto & unprofessional when it comes to parents giving her constructive feedback she shuts down & uses her power here. My daughter was kicked out because I wouldn’t push under the rug the fact that her staff are lousy old ladies they are 55+ taking care of 1-3 year olds. I had issues with the women on the first floor in which she praises because & I quote “Maria & evie have been with me for over 20 years, since we opened” & that’s her excuse when you bring to her attention that the old ladies are lazy. My first issue was when they were allowing my daughter to sit in her pull up for hrs without change to the point that my daughter needed her pants changed 3 times in 1 week because pee went through her pull up & her pants & when I asked to see how many pull ups my daughter had I was shocked to see how many was there. Which told me that my daughter’s pull up wasn’t being changed not even twice in a day. Some days I would show up earlier & they would be rushing my daughter to the back to change her( this was probably the only change that took place during the day, which is disgusting because my child was in their care from 8am-5pm!) They make the children sit down for HOURS on end with no curriculum just screen time, my daughter was always hyper active when I picked her up because she always had so much energy from being seated all day long, they allow them play time outside on days when it’s nice & that’s only from about 4-5pm. There has been no consequences for the staffs action & negligence, Her solution to this was to send my daughter upstairs with the bigger kids so she can follow in their steps in using the potty, which actually worked out in my favor …. For about a week until the teacher quit & we were back to the same situation with her lousy workers. I would bring my daughter in with panties & they would switch it out immediately upon arrival because they didn’t wanna deal with potty training. So even though I’m weening my child off of pull ups the staff still puts them on her which is no help or solution to the issue at hand.
When trying to get in contact with Bernadette to which she is never available or on the scene at her business & her ONLY reason for not being present is that “my son has cancer & I don’t wish this on anyone” it’s starting to be her excuse for everything, she plays the victim & uses her sick son to do so! Disgusting behavior!! When I was dropping my daughter off one morning one of the staff passed me the phone to which Bernadette was on the phone harassing me about switching over my HRA paper work from down stairs to upstairs(because all she cares about is money) & accused me of making a complaint to the DOH which I did but it was anonymous & to be honest this is why she kicked my daughter out. She called for a meeting at 10:30am (she wasn’t available for this same meeting until 10:48am) & as soon as we sit down she says to me that if I’m recording the meeting is over & handed me an already written/signed paper stating that my daughter can’t come back. She had no remorse for what my concerns were, she cannot say why I was upset to begin with, she absolutely did not care for my concerns & she retaliated against me proving the ghetto & unprofessional comments I made towards her which are 100% true.
She has a 3k classroom setting upstairs with no teacher(the teacher QUIT mid school year because of Bernadettes disgusting behaviors) imagine enrolling your child into a school setting just for them to be sitting & playing all day with no learning being done! She reached out to this same teacher asking her to give her a call to discuss this urgent matter. She called me “this chick” & “ghetto” in this audio that I have if you would like to hear it.
Ms. Evie & Ms. Yahira often takes smoke breaks during business hours & they go directly back inside to our children with the tobacco scent on them, let me just say second hand hurts too!
My overall experience has been a nightmare with “b happy” I’m everything but happy with my experience here & if I could save the trouble of another parent, PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF THEM!
