Each of our schools is licensed by the state where it operates. In addition, each adheres to the highest standards of safety, security, cleanliness, teaching, and loving care. In 2007, we became part of the Learning Care Group, one of the largest providers of early childhood care and educational services in the United States. La Petite Academy is an equal opportunity provider.
We hope you and your child become part of our story, today.

this facility is horrible. some of the teachers are great others are not. the current director has a disgusting attitude that I feel is only toward a certain skin color that is not her own. I hate to throw out the race card because I would love to believe all are lovely people. she definitely is not. she treats her staff horribly and if they don't like it she tell them to quit. she doesn't know how to speak to people properly at all. once she realizes she won't get any more money out of you she either ignores you as a whole or she give you one word responses. I refused to have my kids there any longer after I realized that only charge an outrageous late fee when a parent doesn't need service for the older kids. I was willing to enroll my baby there but she wasn't willing to do part time but soon enrolled another baby part time. I refuse to have my children there with such a nasty lady.
Parents Beware! My son attended La Petite for 18 months. The center has a flea infestation, which they reported to the St. Clair Co. Health Dept.( I called them myself) on 8/10. Parents received a letter on 8/13 stating the center would not be treated until the night of the 14th. They are still watching kids though; wouldn't want to miss out on money. They'll be open a week before treating the problem while still caring for kids!! Fortunately, my son is staying with family; I feel for those parents without any other options.
My son had dried blood on his legs when I picked him up a month ago. No one noticed or cleaned him up. Fortunately, the blood was his. He also had 2 separate days when he had dried poop on the back of his shirt. Again, no one noticed or cleaned it up. I reported it to the teacher and assistant director, but they were pretty nonchalant about it even after I pointed out the potential health risk and exposure.
The staff turnover is huge-teachers and the director. The director that was fired (parents were never told why BTW) is still listed on their website, and they've been unable to retain a director since. The door code changes frequently due to parents, teachers, and/or former teachers making a scene. The police were allegedly called the last time.
For $200 a week for a 3 year old, you'd think they could at least keep blood, poop, and fleas off of the kids. I'm so glad my son is done with this place!!!
