La Crescenta Montessori

Founded in 1984, La Crescenta Montessori has led a proud tradition of excellence in education. We follow the Montessori Method of teaching, a tested and proven method that acknowledges and encourages the natural desire to learn present in all children. By creating a comfortable and intellectually stimulating environment, we allow our students to experience spontaneous and genuine bursts of interest in learning about the world around them.

Throughout the early intellectual development of a child, we pass through sensitive periods in our lives where our minds are taking in information as fast as they can. During these times, we become much more aware of language, order, our senses, and society. These are the perfect opportunities to help our children develop a love of learning that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. By encouraging these periods of rapid information uptake, a phenomenon that physically occurs in the brain during early development, each student learns at their own pace so they never feel overwhelmed.
