My son attended KCDC for 3 years and we loved it!
I can’t say enough about Kirksville Child Development Center. The environment is inviting and friendly - welcoming of exploration, problem solving, creating, and developing a strong sense of self and relationships with others. As a parent cooperative, parent involvement was welcomed and encouraged. My “wild at heart” kids learned compassion and empathy, gained confidence, and nurtured their innate curiosity about the world around them. The child-led curriculum facilitated by well educated teachers (the head teacher/director has her masters degree in early childhood education) is phenomenal - and my kids (who are now 14 and 18) still refer back to their KCDC experience - understanding and seeing in hindsight how that early exposure to experiential learning has helped them to be stronger students throughout their K-12 years.
Our daughter had a terrific experience. The staff is caring, dynamic, and responsive. The play-centered approach fosters creativity, intellectual and emotional development. You don't just send your kid to the KCDC; your family joins a community of caring professionals and supportive families.
