Very Rude and disrespectful Customer service! The Male that Speaks on the and deals with scheduling for tours or admitting children is a very uneducated disrespectful man.
This daycare barely qualifies under DHHS standards. Children are abused, made fun of and consistently yelled at by staff for no reason. In the time that my child has been going to this daycare, I have witnessed a staff tip a child out of his chair and proceed to yell at him for tipping while he cried. On a separate occasion, I witnessed a child be yanked upwards by his arms and thrown out of a room for not getting off of a table. This child was taken into another room, screaming and crying, as the staff continued to yell at him. My child has also mentioned to me that staff had forced another child to stick out her tongue in which they made fun of her for how it was shaped. Just because a child is too young to understand the context of the conversation at hand does not mean that it is ever appropriate to make fun of that child in front of other children or staff.
This is a family owned establishment meaning that all staff is related to the owner. I would assume that this is the reason there are no repercussions for staff abusing children given that they just cover for each other. In addition, every time I drop by the staff consistently looks like they just rolled out of bed. One of the women working in the classroom with my child wears leggings that I can see through and her shirt never covers her stomach. I feel that this is inappropriate for a child to have to see everyday and quite frankly, it is not professional. The building is falling apart, classrooms are too small for the amount of children that are expected to be kept in, and the older kids are often mixed with the younger kids which does not seem efficient when considering developmental differences.
It was brought to my attention from another parent that staff is allowed to administer medications to children. Upon asking the procedure for allowing this, I was informed that staff had a document that needed to be signed every time a child was given their medication. Legally, to administer and document medications, a staff would need to possess a medication aid license. When inquiring whether or not staff was required to have this licensure, I was not given an answer.
While prices may be low and the accessibility may be considerable, this daycare poses as a threat to children. The staff is overly aggressive and lacks proper education regarding child development and childcare. The office manager that works most days does not have any background in childcare nor do most of the staff. Many of the children that make up this daycare are children of the staff in which in which those children are shown favoritism over the others.
It appears that Wrangler Babies Childcare is much more concerned about taking your money and neglecting your children than taking the time to care for, educate and ensure the safety of your child. Don't leave your child at a facility where they are getting emotionally and physically abused.
Do not and I mean DO NOT enroll your child in Wrangler Babies Childcare on 48th and Calvert.
I received a fb message from the daycare stating I needed to come to the office when I picked my daughter up because there was an incident with my daughter and her teacher. I asked if everything was ok and they said yes. I went to pick her up to find out my daughter was upset and called the teacher fat. The teacher then proceeded to flick my child in the mouth and push her up the stairs!!!!! Of course I was FURIOUS! I asked what had been done to this teacher and if she was fired and they said “Well we were waiting to see what you were going to do!” As if they wanted to see if I was going to remove my daughter so she could stay. I called the police and the police went to the daycare to find out what happened. After that they then decided to fire her.
After talking to my daughter this woman has hit her twice before and she was to scared to tell me. She has hit 3 other kids and my daughter was a witness to those incidents as well. The police have now said they cant charge her because there wasnt a bruise! My child is very dark and would require a lot more force for that to show up on her face!!! Because of the absence of bruising we can’t sue the daycare either. The fact is NO ONE should put their hands on someone else’s child!!! If you can’t appropriately watch children then you should NOT be around them.
She not only did this but also is the reason my daughter wont wear her steph currys to daycare. She made fun of them and she never wanted to wear them to daycare again. She has called her blacker than black making her feel as if her skin color isn’t beautiful. She has physically and emotionally abused my daughter and is getting away with it.
Please do not take your children there! Keep your kids safe
Not the fanciest, but staff is super kind. The kids have a great time. My 3yr old daughter is excited to go most days. They cater to my wretched schedule, and have provisions for if I need an extra couple of hours here and there. I am happy with them, and have already made recommendations.
Absolutely terrible. I walked in and are was 1 staff member and about 20 toddlers. The place reeked awfully. When my girls got home, one of them had a huge cut down her arm that was left untreated. They said that the staff takes naps and don't even watch the children in the room. They yelled at the girls for going to the bathroom quietly during naptime. I will never bring my children here again.

It's not the fanciest daycare, but the staff does take the time to interact with the kids. I truly think they care about the kids in there care.
