Each client of this daycare needs to take a real close look at this facility. They just attempted to strong arm a stellar employee to come in to work with COVID. They said COVID only lasts "48 hours". I beg to differ, Doctor. She takes care of infants all day and the thought of coming in to work with a fever and COVID and exposing babies to COVID is immoral. All because of high turnover and poor schedule management. $$$ over safety. Take heed parents. DCF has been informed.
Response to owner: no threats where made. In your response you don't address anything that I said regarding COVID because you know it's true and you know that's what you told her and I did speak with DCF. A daycare cannot knowingly expose the children to a contagious disease like COVID. Full Stop. That's straight from their mouth. I don't need you to tell me what I can and can't do. I have a first amendment right. And these parents have a right to know that their children are being put in jeopardy. Any parents concerned about the above can contact me directly and I will share all the information that I have and they can decide for themselves.. Thank you very much. I won't be reviewing any additional responses. Have a " short staffed due to high turnover" day.
This is a horrible preschool! Staff always in and out which should tell you something right there. My son use to be in suite 200, the teachers in there are simply amazing as well as in 250. The owner is very rude and does not have a clue about how to run a business. I overheard the owner tell a teacher very rudely to get out of her face. They do not follow licencing rules half the time or KRK standards!!! I would never recommend this preschool to anyone, other than the few good teachers I have met there, it's horrible.
Please see rating from previous parent on 11/20/2015. It is very accurate and aligned with our experience with this facility. People are not trained appropriately at this facility, my child had 4 different teachers in a 6 month period- so no one stays for any length of time which is a sign of a more serious issue with management, forced naps for the children, Watchmegrow camera issues, etc.
The owner is flat out rude and has no business running a daycare business. This location is new in the area and where they were once only one of about two daycare/schools in the area, more are opening. This is good news for parents. Shop around and be wise. Ask to see the resumes/qualifications of the teachers and management.
And if you send your child here, do not let the owner bully you, talk over you or down to you. As a concerned parent, you should be heard, not interrupted and in a professional manner. The Owner has a lot to learn about running a business.
I chose this facility because it is Kids R Kids, and I love the Kids R Kids philosophy, curriculums, and accreditation. I am not the kind of parent that chooses a place out of convenience. Unfortunately, this daycare is just a daycare. I really wanted to give this place a chance because it has great potential, but it’s truly just terrible. After a month-and-a-half, I must provide other parents like me an honest review…
Pros:
Excellent looking facilities- The rooms and playground look great.
Fantastic director - Ms. Alice is amazing.
Neutral:
Watchmegrow – The watchmegrow program is here, but the kids’ activities are out of view for much of the day.
Cons:
Poorly trained staff and teachers – The childcare providers they’re hiring are not the best… The front desk staff is unfriendly and untrained.
Apathetic, rude owner – When I reached out to the owner with questions after noticing the teachers were not doing what the Kids R Kids philosophy promotes, she rudely told me she didn’t have time to care about “one" child. She is absolutely awful. You'd think a childcare provider would know each and every child matters....
Two hour forced naptime – The teachers physically force the children to lay down for two hours. If they wake up after one hour, they are forced to lie there eyes-wide-open, staring into space. A good practice is to do quiet activities when children do not want to nap or wake up early.
Poor curriculum – Though the Kids R Kids name is used here, the teachers are not skilled enough to administer the Kids R Kids curriculums. If your child is smart, he/she will not be happy here, standing around, twiddling their thumbs for most of the day.
Limited communication- My daughter cried for three hours straight today, but no one thought to call me and inform me of this. I found out after I called much later. The weekly schedules and other communication are not delivered to individual parents- you have to take a picture of them to review them outside of the facility.
