My son attended this daycare from 6 weeks until this last year when he started Pre-K. He loved going there and misses the friends that he made. He always told me about all the activities he did and what he learned.

I would never send my children here and below is the reason why.

The day the incident happened (7/22/22) the daycare lied on my child. They said she has bit herself and hit herself in the face. I simply didn’t believe that. The cameras were freely offered when I said I don’t believe it so I told them be prepared to show them to me. The morning two year old teacher, Kristin Black (Blake), called me from her personal cellphone at 2:00pm (red flag number one) to tell me that yes, Lorelai did in fact hit herself in the face and bit herself on the arm. I said “I hate to call you a liar but I just don’t believe that. Someone at the front desk told me “that’s why y’all have cameras” so when your boss comes back from vacation we will be seeing them.”
She quickly stops talking and starts crying saying she is “failing all of us as a teacher” in which I interrupt to say “please save those tears for someone else, I do not have time for this.”
Four hours later, I get ANOTHER call from the daycare. It is the same teacher, Kristin. She is calling to “confess” to me she lied and another child had bit my daughter. Of course, I am very angry over this. Who wouldn’t be? I told Kristen-“you know, my kid has been bit 9 times since starting there and I’ve not once made a big deal about it, so why lie now?” She said she was afraid of “disappointing me.”
I said -“look, I believe something else is going on here. Ever since I have brought up seeing cameras all of this seems shady to me and I feel there is more to be told here, when the director comes back, we will sit down and review the footage from that day.”
Kristin was fired two days later for calling me off her personal phone and lying to me.
Fast forward to 8/2/22. I sit down with the daycare director who does confirm another child bit my kid that day. Ok. No big deal. Does it suck the teacher lied? Absolutely. But let’s move on with life.
8/3/22 the Director calls me again and tells me that I need to come to the daycare, there is more footage I need to see from that day they need to share with me. So I go in, and I am shown this video. Tamekia Baker is the mid shift-close teacher that is in the class with Kristin.
Tamekia walks up to my sweet daughterand hit her in the FACE with a shoe, twice, then shoves her.
Tamekia was fired after they saw this video.
Further more, the director KNEW about the abuse on 8/2 and did not notify me until 8/3!!!! She allowed me to bring my child back up there knowing she was abused.

After showing me this video, the director shares with me that Kristin (the teacher who lied to me) had also hit another kid in THAT CLASS ON THE SAME DAY!!!! (Now everything makes sense!)

This woman (Kristin) lied on MY CHILD and was freaking out that I was serious about seeing the cameras and what SHE had done that day. So she gave me this “confession” thinking I would back off from seeing them and I am so glad I trusted my gut.

DHR informed me during our home visit today that my daughter was also abused during her nap time. A teacher wrote a formal statement saying “I walked past tamekias class and saw her spraying ——— with a water bottle in her face and ear. 5 minutes later I walked back by and Tamekia was still spraying ———in the face and ear to the point she was soaking wet and crying.”

Why didn’t the teacher report this sooner?

Even if your kids aren’t getting beaten, the teachers don’t report it to the director like they should. They only reason the aforementioned statement was taken is due to this whole incident uncovering a lot of truth.
