Description: We realize that there are many childcare and daycare options available. Only Kiddie Academy provides the kind of care that focuses on days filled with learning and fun, the key ingredients of our Life Essentials® curriculum. We are also a nationally networked franchise, which ensures strict standards and a consistent experience for your child. Kiddie Academy's proprietary Life Essentials curriculum focuses on social and emotional character education, and physical and cognitive outcomes which are aligned with state preschool learning standards. These standards are based on skills, knowledge and abilities that children achieve through developmentally appropriate activities and experiences. Every experience is an opportunity to learn. Life Essentials is an overarching philosophy that includes our programs and techniques. From family style dining to character education, our developmentally appropriate curriculum gives your child a full day of learning no matter what he or she is doing. Some of the best learning happens without your child knowing it.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

We had a terrible experience at Kiddie Academy of Des Peres. The staff fed our child another child's bottle because they were "confused as to which baby was which."The consequences could have obviously been quite severe as our baby was is only 3 months old and has no known allergies at this time. The administration's response to the incident was awful and very telling about how they treat the families and children in their care. They asked us how the situation could be remedied and what they could do in order to gain our trust back. We listed several very simple steps (in our minds)...we made no demands, did not request that anyone be terminated etc. (even though we did find it odd that there was zero discipline administered in this instance). We requested that only individuals familiar with our child feed her (seems like an obvious one... we even stated that if this was not possible for it only to be the two main teachers due schedules/breaks etc. then if we could just be introduced to those that would be interacting with our child that would be great. We requested that the teachers involved in the incident speak with us directly and apologize and assure us it would not happen again. The only people who ultimately apologized were the Director/Assistant Director after I emailed them, we were never called by the administration to even tell us that the incident happened or follow up regarding the safety of our child. We requested that we receive a plan in writing on how this would not happen in the future (again, this should not be difficult if making efforts to reinforce procedures and protocols and actually taking steps to ensure the safety of the children moving forward) and we asked for a refund on the month's tuition (we were paying 2,000 per month to need our child here and certainly did not feel like we got what we paid for. We sat up several nights monitoring the health of our child, took off work etc.). They responded to our requests by stating our child was no longer allowed to attend there because they were afraid they would be under further scrutiny moving forward. Of course they would be under additional scrutiny! You gave our child the wrong bottle! You would then need to do things correctly in order to gain a family's trust back. It certainly does not happen in less than a week's time. Terrible customer service, terrible leaders - would definitely look elsewhere
