Kentwood - Brookwood Elementary

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Brookwood Elementary School, I am pleased to welcome you to the Brookwood website. We are excited to have an opportunity to share information about our school with you.

Brookwood Elementary School serves students in grades kindergarten – 5th grade and has a extremely diverse student population of approximately 350 students. Brookwood Elementary has a long history of excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities.

As I begin my third year as principal of Brookwood , I will continue to work diligently with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community characterized by child centered instruction and decisions, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communications, clear and high academic expectations and recognition of both student and staff achievement. I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement this shared vision. Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission to create a nurturing and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible members of society. At Brookwood, we have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community.
We appreciate the sustained support provided so unselfishly by our parents, community members, and local businesses. We pledge to continue to work hard to make our academic and extracurricular programs even stronger to ensure our students are successful and prepared for the future. They deserve no less.
