About the Provider

Hello... it has been my pleasure to be the principal of this school since 1994. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have been given the responsibility of educating your children since I believe that education is the pathway to opportunities and a better life. I am deeply committed to equity in education and providing many supports for our children and their families in order that they can reach a high level of success. I have been in the field of education for more that 35 years and began my career as a teacher in Oakland. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stephens College and completed post graduate work in education from UC Berkeley. I also completed a Master's degree in Education from Sacramento State University with a special focus on multicultural education. In the past, I have provided consultant services for the California Public Policy Institute, the Sacramento County Office of Education, and Stanford University. I was awarded Harvard University's "'Applaud an Educator" for educating others.
