Jody Richards After-School Program

Welcome to Jody Richards Elementary School! It is going to be an exciting year ahead. We look forward to working together to ensure our students are college, career, and citizenship ready for their futures.

The finishing touches are being put on our beautiful new building. Our gym is already decked out in red, white, and blue. We are named for the Honorable Representative Jody Richards, so we have chosen these patriotic colors as our new school colors. The students have voted for the Rockets as this new mascot!

We plan to communicate, connect, and celebrate with students and families during this transition time. We will be using this website and emails as our way of communicating unless we know a family needs a hard copy mailed to them. Please visit this site often as we will be adding many updates.


To start making connections and celebrate our new building, we are planning many family events to help us join together as a new school community. Part of this goal is for the students to become very comfortable with the physical space before the school year actually begins in August. Therefore, several exciting evenings are being planned for the next few months. The first was a special Scavenger Hunt of Jody Richards Elementary on March 13th which was a huge success! We will have other events throughout the summer.

The future of Jody Richards Elementary School is wide open! We know the students will continue to grow and achieve as we work to maintain the high standard of excellence already established at both Rich Pond and Natcher. We look forward to this exciting adventure of becoming the new Jody Richards’ school community. We welcome your participation as we prepare our future leaders.
