The Nishna Valley Family YMCA is a 501©3 not-for-profit organization headed by a 12 person volunteer board of directors. Seven full-time staff carry out the mission of the organization. We received our first charter in 1890. The Nishna Valley Family YMCA's purpose is to provide programs and services to the Cass County area that address the needs of our constituency and that promote strong kids, strong families and strong communities. On an average we provide over 40 different programs from youth through adults as well as the use of our state of the art facility of over 46,000 square feet. We also provide membership and program scholarships for youth and families that can't afford the regular fees. In 2008 the YMCA provided scholarships and subsidies to over 200 families totaling over $60,000.

Common questions

The answers people ask us for most often.

How do I contact a provider I found here?

In most cases the provider’s direct number is included in their listing. When it is not, we list the number of the Child Care Licensing Program — you may call that number for more information, or search for the provider online.

Will ChildcareCenter pass a message on to a provider for me?

No. ChildcareCenter only provides information, so enrolment questions, tuition questions and job enquiries need to go to the provider directly using the contact details on their listing. We cannot forward them and we cannot share contact details a provider has not published.

I run a daycare — how do I correct or remove my listing?

Use suggest an update on your listing to correct any detail, or claim the listing to manage it yourself. If you have closed or no longer provide care, contact us and we will update the listing to show that.
