Matrix Head Start-Infinity

Matrix Head Start (MHS) (est. 1981), operates in Detroit’s Southwest Head Start service area, and has grown to be the largest Head Start provider in the city. Currently, operating from multiple program sites, MHS provides high-quality comprehensive services.

MHS is an integral part of the community and in the lives of children and families. It is a federally funded, comprehensive program serving low-income children three to five years of age, special needs children and their families. The focus is on parents in order to empower them to provide for themselves and their families while preparing for the future. We are prepared to meet the challenges and changes faced by the children, families, and community we serve.

As a bilingual, multicultural program, Matrix Head Start is sensitive to the cultural differences, strengths and uniqueness of our community. The traditions and celebrations, which bring hope, joy, and unity to the families served, are respected.
