Horizon Activities Center

Horizon Education Centers is an Ohio nonprofit organization under 501(c) (3) of the IRS code. All contributions to this organization are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

We currently operate at 13 locations in Lorain and Western Cuyahoga Counties. The organization is governed by a Volunteer Board of Trustees.

Horizon Education Centers performs two operations most through partnerships with local partner school districts and other community organizations:

-- Early Childhood Education - Licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Horizon provides year round child care, preschool and school-age (before & after school) programs for children 18 months through 12 years of age. This also includes Head Start at the Lorain County Centers.

-- Supplementary Education - Horizon provides educational, youth development and enrichment programs including 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant program(Clearview, Elyria, Lorain, Midview, North Ridgeville and North Olmsted School Districts) and after school tutoring for both Elementary and Middle School Students.
