Hopewell United Methodist Church

HUMC Preschool is a ministry serving our community by providing nurturing, safe, and happy learning experiences in a Christian setting. Our classes are available Monday thru Friday year-round and are designed for children 18 months to 5 years old. Our passion is education. Staff members possess the unique combination of maturity, caring hearts, experience, BS degrees, SLED approvals, and CPR certifications. We utilize the special talents of our Pastor, Music Director and Spanish Instructor with Chapel, Music and Spanish lessons. We also foster development through arts, crafts, Bible stories, circle times, Sign Language, multi-sensory curricula and literature. At HUMC, we foster development and socialization by teaching your children about sharing, taking turns, being kind, using manners and taking responsibility for their actions. We use some Montessori principles to encourage organized thinking skills while having fun during age-appropriate activities. In addition, we have a large, shaded, fenced-in playground which safely promotes physical activity and free play.
