Description: I enjoy teaching and working with children of all ages-young children and those who are young at heart. I have taught for many years in both public and private schools.
I have been working in the field of Early Childhood for 32 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I started my career by opening up a family child care and eventually opening a child care care center where I am currently the director and one of the teachers. I started my ECE classes at Barstow College, and I received my A.A. from Barstow College along with my Early Childhood Education certificate. With determination and perseverance I received my Master's from Azusa Pacific University.
My philosophy is that we are always learning and with that in mind, I hope to add to learning experiences by bringing a positive educational opportunity to children. Children relate better to things that are real and relevant. so they will be able to relate what they have learned to their life. Real situations are more meaningful so I like to make things relevant ( or applicable ) to what they are learning.
I have a wonderful supportive husband and five fantastic children. In my free time, I like to be outdoors spending time with my family. I believe there are never any bad weather days, just different kinds of weather. With that in mind, my philosophy for children is that their job is to play, be happy and be outdoors too.

Miss Himmelrick and all the staff here are some of the most professional in the industry. This is a play based school which is truly a dying art. Curriculum based schools are not what being a child is about. The state of California is pushing so hard to remove child’s play and it’s nice to see this facility step up and administer a healthy way for a child to truly learn. The staff is very attentive to each child and I can leave my child here and not worry about the care they receive.
Ms. Rochelle has worked with children all her life. She understands people from practical experience as well as her degree from University. Children learn through play as well as sitting and listening. Many field trips and extra activities are part of the yearly educational experience. There is a wide variety of activities and the children that attend this school have a well rounded education for their age group. If we lived closer, I would have my children at her school as much as possible. Rochelle cares greatly about each of her many kids.
I personally wouldn't let my child attend there, it's too high priced for the lack of attention they pay to the children. They have minors constantly in and out that "attend" to the children. I've heard numerous complaints. Simply put thanks but no thanks
Well where do I start, they have a minor daughter of the main teacher working there to wrangle kids, and 2 incompetent teachers there who have no physical signs of being able to handle small children. My child has been going there for 7 months now and she has been hurt over and over, but being a strong daddy I just thought it was cuz she plays rough but today on 1 sep2017 she fell off the jungle gym and took 3 mins for a reaction from a teacher. my little girl has to get 9 stitches in her forehead because of their lack of supervision and unqualified personell. I have had it with their attitudes and comments as well. I drop my child off at 0730 everyday so I can get to work on fort Irwin by 9 and everything I am a lil late from a long day they have a snide comment to say about being late when they close at 6. Bottom line they can't even begin to control the children or react to an emergency, I want this place investigated asap for mistreatment and their employees evaluated and for the minor to not be wrangling the children when it's the teachers job to do that.
Ms. Rochelle and her staff promote an atmosphere of safe fun; the students never realize they are learning. There are many field trips throughout the year which gives the students a chance to experience more than her center. She understands children and what they are and are not capable of doing. Rochelle is a sensitive, flexible, person that will never grow old. She continues to learn new things. I recommend everyone seek her care center for their young ones, I'm only sorry it's limited to only 21 at a time.
