This was our first daycare experience with my 2-year-old son. We had a weird schedule and the plan was that he would be there every other Tuesday and every Wednesday, however we stopped attending after a week. We had a covid scare within our family and Anne was visibly upset with us as she had to shut down the daycare until there was a negative test since we were exposed. On the 3rd day my son wasn't able to sleep and was crying - Anne seemed upset and told me that his crying kept the other kids up. It just was not a good fit for our family.
Anne told me she was the only one taking care of kids. When I asked my 4.5 yr old daughter if any other people came around in the afternoon. She old me her daughter would come help her. Both her daughter and husband worked from home. The kitchen was shared by all. So honestly I felt like I was lied to when Anne told me she was the only one taking care of kids and the space was strictly for childcare. She also shows TV to kids as young as 18m old. Space is cramped up. Kids are not allowed to play outside due to state not allowing due to safety reasons. All kids stay inside a small living room all day long. No age appropriate toys. Anne comes as emotionless / has flat affect. Our daughter cried several times missing her dad who dropped her off in the morning. Anne would yell and ridicule her in front of other kids. She is over 65 and not appropriate to do this childcare business. She has been doing this more than 25 years. Maybe be the glowing reviews are from past.
My daughter has been going to Anne since she was 11 months old, and is a little over 2 and a half. Anne accommodates all her needs, and is always extremely informative and professional when I pick my daughter up. My daughter looks forward to coming here to see her friends and Anne, has a very good nap/eating schedule, and is being taught many good traits as well (picking up after herself, please/thankyou, sharing) I highly recommend Anne.
