About the Provider
At our preschool we emphasis a readiness program which helps the children develop self-reliance and a positive attitude toward future school work. We strive to:
Learn to listen, follow directions, have responsibilities, be courteous, orderly and willing to share.
Familiarize the children with the alphabet to know letters by sight and sound, using games, names, flannel board activities, etc.
Know primary colors, shapes and numbers.
Strengthen and improve large motor skills and coordination (skipping, hopping, rhythm, balancing, bouncing balls, etc.).
Strengthen and improve small motor skills (cutting, coloring, writing, drawing – both free hand and directed).
Teach a concept of the world around them through plants, animals, walks, the weather, and other aspects of nature.
Encourage good health and eating habits.
All of the goals of our program will be implemented through a planned program of activities, finger plays, songs, games, and the child’s natural curiosity. Some repetitive activities are planned because the young child loves to repeat the familiar. The director will be happy to discuss any questions regarding the program at any time.
