The Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA is a member of the YMCA's of Greensboro. It has stood as a community pillar for East Greensboro NC since 1939. Though over the years the structure and staff have changed, the mission has stayed the same.

A staff member spoke to a three-year-old in a harsh tone when saying 'stop doing that', 'say you are sorry', and 'apologize now'. Two staff members allowed the same three-year-old child to lay in the floor, crying. Two staff members failed to actively engage, move about the classroom, or interact with children, for extended periods of time.

Child was handled roughly. Two staff members, on separate occasions, grabbed a three-year-old child roughly by the arms, dragging the child across the floor, resulting in a minor bruise on the child's arm.
