PLEASE DON'T LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. My spirit has been guiding me to complain about this Daycare facility for a while now. My child attended approx. 9yrs. ago and from the sound of things, in reading the recent comments, things have not changed; they are as egregious as they have always been. I will spare you all the details, but everything that these parents are complaining about is true. If your gut is telling you something is wrong, trust it because it is. If your children do not want to go, don't make them, you will pay for it later (therapy is expensive). Don't wait if CPS does nothing send the letters, get police reports. Mad I didn't do this.
Facts:
1. Children are left alone in the classroom (no teachers)
2. children are abused, I watched the grandson of the owner, and the son of one of the teachers (who has one good eye) kick at a baby and tell them to shut up, he was very aggressive (probably still is), and hope to GOD that he is not working there. My child was hit, slapped, etc., and hit by other students (I believe purposely, at the teacher's direction). By the way, the worker saw me there and said stop, did nothing.
3. the daughter is Rude, downright ghetto, and is relatable toward babies.
4. The owner is a liar and appears to be knowledgeable and caring, but I think she is downright deceitful and knows everything that takes place there.
5. I saw a comment about Soberity, There was a "white woman" there, who seemed nice, but had an issue present past, at the time, with substance abuse, it was apparent. Is this the same person, I don't know, but not far-fetched.
This place needs to be shut down, and arrest probable should be made. And a complaint with the CDC, Attorney General's office, or something. Consumer Affairs, I know parents have to work and it is hard, but your children can be permanently effected and you have to choose, these years are precious and they will never get it back. Please follow your guts!!!!
This place has been nothing but chaos even with removing my child from the center, I still was dealing with an unpleasant owner. Who appears to be compassionate and caring but as soon as things aren’t going her way or under her control she becomes very intolerable. She has continued to receive payment from the state of Md (vouchers) even after I removed my child from the establishment. This has just been ridiculous and I removed my child due to a false healthy accusation, that she said my child had but her doctor (pediatrician) said my child did not have! I’m truly disgusted with how things have gone with having my child here and dealing with a provider who still received the money she wasn’t entitled to. She held on to important TAX information and never informed me that she had after seeing me a few days before her completing the tax information! This is just truly ridiculous! I do not recommend this organization at all!
Our son attended Happy Day Care for a year and we had great peace of mind. He was three and attended 2017 to 2018. Ms. Mitchell and the staff are a wonderful and caring team. Our son blossomed so much socially and academically in that year, he was ready to attend Kindergarten by the summer/fall of 2018 and we attribute this to environment, the curriculum, and the caring staff.
NOT only did I go to this daycare my sister has also went and we have never complained. We have enjoyed it, they show us niceness, they give us items out of their own pocket, they give out some treats. Even if we have bad behavior they don't just give you another second chance they show you that wrong and you shouldn't do that they are not mean or wrong but no offense but parents these days are listening to their children and their children are wrong accidents happen but that doesn't mean you should blame the teacher sometimes your child does it tell you the truth but I know in the summer it take you on field trips you get to go outside run friends that you known or there so that's enjoyable and in the school year you have your tabs with a teach you your numbers your letters they help you with your homework if you're in school age group they have that only help us they show that they care and we have to listen and follow directions to time they have rules and regulations but all daycares do and I just don't think it's not the employee's fault or or the or the children but they don't deserve to get blamed either.
This daycare by far has been the worst daycare ever. This was my sons first daycare and he's been attending Hapoy Daycare for about almost 2 years. They always complain and try to send your child home over the most dumbest stuff. It's been 5 new teachers in one year how can my child build a connection with anyone of the teachers if the director keep firing people. The director is not at all professional when talking to the parent about their child I was told to my face from the director that I need to take better care of my child all because he was cranky at school. When going to pick my child up they had him sleeping on a hard a** cot with no blanket then tell me I didn't pack one. So your telling me a daycare with 70+ kids in it that you don't have a extra blanket to lend my child as he take a nap? Then didn't even try to call me or his father to let us know we forgot his blankie.. us parents are not perfect yes we may forget a blanket or forget his cup but "Happy Daycare" should have extras to accommodate their kids... worst daycare
