Description:
Welcome to the Guild of St. Agnes, a private non-profit Early Education and Care agency serving the needs of children from the age of four weeks to twelve years. Founded in 1913 in the City of Worcester, today we provide these services in Worcester and across Worcester County at 7 center based agencies, 100+ family childcare homes, and 11 after school settings. Our mission is to: "provide families with quality affordable early childhood education and school age programs in a safe nurturing environment for children ages 4 weeks to 12 years". All of these services are licensed by the MA Department of Early Education and Care and our centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the premier designation in the United States for identifying high quality child care services.
The Guild offers developmentally appropriate learning environments for your child. Our programs use Teaching Strategies GOLD, which is an assessment, reporting, and curriculum planning system. This helps us to plan meaningful activities that match your child's strengths, needs, and interests to track his or her progress on these over time, and to build a strong foundation for your child to be ready to succeed in school. The Guild is very proud to have taken a leadership role in educating our teachers. All Lead Preschool Teachers hold a bachelor's degree in Early Education or a related field. Many of our teacher assistants have associate degrees or are currently enrolled in college.
We have a history of serving a diverse population, knowing this contributes to our quality programming as we prepare children for the twenty first century. Aware that good nutrition is significant for proper growth and development, the Guild also supplies well balanced meals and healthy snacks to our children. Recognizing that some children need transportation, the Guild makes this safe and secure service available to families as needed. In addition, the Guild contracts with behavioral health specialists for consultation when appropriate. Our commitment to early childhood education, our passion for excellence and our teachers' pride in their professional contributions is what sets us apart.

My daughter went to this school for about a year . At first it was ok they kept giving my daughter Dairy even thoe I told them she was allergic. They didn't read the snacks before giving them to her . My daughter was learning new things which I was glad . There where some days my daughter would say someone told her she is not a princess. I thought she was talking about kids .there was this one day I guess my daughter was having a hard day and she loves to wear dresses as she thinks she is a princess when she does wear then. When a teacher named Heather thought it was ok after trying to calm my daughter to take her outfit off and her sparkly shoes and told her she can earn them back . And she put on a shirt, pants and sneakers. That was very inappropriate and this is when I removed my daughter from this building .take ur kids serious when they give u little warnings. Could have been worst.
