I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

First of all, being an educator of younger children for 16 years now, I can't believe a parent (an educator herself) would write such a post. Have you not realized by now that parents are responsible for their little children and if they (the parent) cannot comply to the rules and procedures, what are they teaching their children? All the complaint told me was that the provider is responsible, organized, and well managed. I'm sorry that some parents have to blame all of their mistakes on other people, instead of owning up to them!! Really!!

Their qualifications on care about child care are incorrect. They do not have the experience nor patience with children with ADHD or any other learning disabilities. They will punish any child that cannot sit still for 2 hours with no book. They have no education but seem to be experts that that know your child better than their parents. The owner's family member is a teacher and therefor will never be reprimanded for not working well with children. She has 0 personality or warmth toward children. Many times children will be crying and a few of the providers ignore them and punish them for crying. One said "you're fine, toughen up, get over it". The 3 year old was sad because her mom left. They are NOT qualified nor educated to be working with any child with disabilities, unless you want your child hated for not being a standard cookie cut child. The two providers they had with experience and hearts both left the daycare.

GROWING TREE PRESCHOOL/DAYCARE in Pleasentview, Utah ... NOT SO PLEASENT (here's what happened to us) ... I was one day late in turning in a form for my son to be able to go on a field trip with his daycare and there was still 4 days (yes, 4 DAYS) left before they were going! As a result, I asked to be able to turn the form in and the owner of the daycare claimed that she needed to know, more in advance, how many children were going so that she could have the proper staffing levels! Are you kidding me!!! I told her that my schedule is chaotic (this was as I was finishing my thesis) and I wanted to make sure that my son could participate; so, I debated with her until she said, in front of my son, (and I quote) "I am not sure this is the right place for [my son]." SERIOUSLY!!! I called the next day and told them that he would not be coming back. Now, two weeks later (when I got up the nerve to go in there and had the time without my son), she had the nerve to tell me that she was charging me approximately $200 for the past two weeks because I did not give notice because that's what is in the contract!!! What!!!!! I plan to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and perhaps call the news (I am sure that, on a slow day, this would interest them) because I don't think this lady should be in the daycare business.
