I have used this provider for more than 6 months
Please don't make the same horrible mistake that I did by taking my child to this cruel, unprofessional, and incompetent woman. She claims the ratio is 1 adult to 6 children, but that is false. Occasionally, there is another woman there but usually the ratio is typically 1 to 12. She only changes diapers about 1 time per day. There were days that she did not feed my baby because he couldn't hold the bottle himself. She uses time out in a very dangerous way. She closes children in a small room/closet with her furnace and water heater without any supervision. I went into this room one day to pick up my child's extra formula to find a child alone and sobbing all by himself when everyone else was outside. I brought him outside with me, and Charlene yelled at him to go back into the closet. Charlene will not team with parents at all. I asked her to let my child use a bottle for a few weeks after his 1st birthday, and she refused and sent all of his bottles home. She makes children sit in chairs all by themselves for 45 minutes+ while she cooks lunch, often unsupervised. She leaves babies in "containers" all day. She screams at children, even babies. She does not engage with the kids, especially not the babies. I have no idea how this woman keeps her daycare license. This is not a safe environment for any child to be in. I know daycare in Lincoln is scarce, but it's not worth risking your child's life, safety, development, or future mental health. Look elsewhere.
If I could leave one star, I would. Charlene is NOT a pleasant person at all. She was angry my child had a diaper blowout and took her diaper off. Infants do that. She called me at work to pick her up. My child was screaming when I arrived. I went home to bathe her and discovered a rash likely from being left to sit in the diaper. Charlene had ZERO clue about the rash because she was so angry with my child that she let her scream. She has never had a rash before. Charlene should've known something was wrong because if she screamed that hard over water touching it I'm positive she screamed over the wipes touching her bottom. This is not acceptable!!
This woman is horrible with the children! She has very little patience and takes it upon herself to spank your child. She has been known to leave babies crying for hours in the room and has no remorse. DO NOT take your child here!!!
