The Growing In Faith daycare program is based on the belief that we are an extension of God’s family. Our mission is to provide a supportive, nurturing environment building a sense of community among our families and staff and to build a Christian foundation amongst our members with emphasis on values of God, Family, and Love.
Growing In Faith is an educational branch of Faith Church and is governed by an Advisory Board comprised of church members, staff, and parent representatives. Growing In Faith daycare is also licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Our license, renewed yearly, mandates that our Educational Director and teachers receive yearly professional development courses Early Childhood Education in addition to their college education and that our curriculum aligns with the Pennsylvania early learning standards. Growing In Faith has been a participant in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program since 2007. Keystone STARS is an initiative of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) to improve, support, and recognize the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs in Pennsylvania. The Keystone STARS Performance Standards provide the foundation for the program. The Performance Standards are grouped into four levels: STAR 1; STAR 2, STAR 3, and STAR 4. Each level builds on the previous level and utilizes research-based best practices to promote quality early learning environments and positive child outcomes. The standards address staff qualifications and professional development, the early learning program, partnerships with family and community, and leadership and management. More information about the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program can be found on their website.
Growing In Faith has been licensed since 1995 and has been rated a Keystone STARS 4 center since 2009.
