About the Provider

Hidden among the back streets and country roads of Wellesley are 16 of the town's most precious treasures. These energetic licensed family childcare providers have been providing invaluable infant and early childhood education and care for over 30 years. All of these incredible women belong to the Association of Family Childcare Providers of Wellesley (AWFCP). AWFCP is a professional organization in Wellesley. The association is committed to furnishing caregivers and teachers with up-to-date developments and techniques in the childcare field. All members of AWFCP are licensed childcare providers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Department of Early Education and Care. Staff credentials include: bachelors and masters degrees with specialties in early childhood & elementary education, nursing, art, and much more. In the past 30 years, AWFCP providers have cared for more than 1500 children. Many of these children entered one of these loving homes as an infant or very young toddler and numerous others have attended one of AWFCP's many enriching toddler or preschool programs. The AWFCP is a gem well worth considering when seeking infant care or early childhood education programs. Specific information for each program is provided on the home page and listed on individual sites. In addition, parents may click appropriate links to view full-time, part-time or morning programs from infancy through Pre-K.
