Description: The Grace Jones Community Center, located on 41st Street in Marathon, FL is a non-profit day care center. The Center provides affordably priced day care including skill based development, meals and a secure environment for up to 100 children. At-risk children with various disadvantages, such as delayed development, isolation and neglect, are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. Each year, the Center receives the “Gold Seal†Award from the State of Florida for what is considered the highest level of day care services. After 50 years of excellent service to the children and families of Marathon and the Middle Keys, a gorgeous new day care center was built to replace our old facility that had been destroyed by Hurricane Wilma (2005). Please stop by at anytime to visit our new facility. While adults call it an architectural wonder, kids seem to always call it the “Grace Jones Castleâ€.
