Description: Since it’s beginnings in 1961, our pre-school has grown and adapted to the changing needs of families in the community. We are an equal opportunity care provider, welcoming children of all faith traditions to our non-denominational programs!
Our purpose is to develop the whole child through loving, caring, sharing, forgiving, and growing in relation to others. Our teachers support the social and emotional growth of each child, while stimulating their intellectual development and early learning. We balance teacher directed activities with child initiated activities, and offer children the playtime they need to learn and grow while interacting with their peers.
Both indoor and outdoor play areas are available to provide opportunities for physical development in all kinds of weather. A toddler play space was recently enclosed outside the Playcare classrooms, and a brand-new playground for children ages 2-5 was installed in Nov, 2010!
Our Pre-School and Playcare programs for children ages one to five are offered from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, from mid-September through mid-June. A summer program is offered separately from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for about 10 weeks starting in mid-June. Traditional schedules include Monday through Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, and Tuesday/Thursday. Customized schedules are granted, when possible, to assist parents in meeting the needs of their work schedules.
