After a not-so-great experience with another preschool in the Olney area, my husband and I were searching for a school meeting fairly specific criteria: a place where he would be encouraged and challenged, but without the expectation (and judgment) that all children have the same capabilities and ultimate goals; a place that would embrace his individualism, but also teach the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect. We are fortunate to have found the Gates of Discovery at Shaare Tefila. Under the skillful leadership of the Director, Beth, every aspect of the school experience is exactly what we were looking for. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Incidentally, the program is non-denominational. I’m told about half the children who attend are Jewish.
