As we enter the Spring Break, may you experience good times, good health, and good fortune. The spring is a wonderful time to see family, travel, and get desperately needed rest. Holiday breaks can also be a time when some students may forget some of what was just learned over the previous months. Maintaining a student's knowledge base is very important through the year. We ask that you continue to encourage your child to read a good book, or three. Have them keep a journal of things that were seen, heard, done, or eaten over the break. Students (kindergarten especially) can draw pictures when words to describe what they would like to relate escape them. If your child is still mastering the alphabet or number counting, daily practice takes no more than a few minutes.

Together, let’s build upon the successes of the beginning of the year and continue to challenge our students in the 2013-2014 school year to achieve their individual highest potential!
