LOVE Future Steps.
My son enjoys being there and talks about the kids there when he is at home..and he is only a year and a half!
I trust the staff there 100% and couldn't ask for a better place for my son to be during the day!!

In response to the post by "Caring Father" on 10-31-11:

The person who posted this comment was upset by the fact that his girlfriend was let go after her probationary period for reasons that were not listed in his statement.  All he knows if what he heard from his upset girlfriend.  As we all know, there are always two sides to every story.  I myself worked in child care in a licenced center.   When deciding what center to enroll my child in, Future Steps met all of my requirements.  Renee, the director of Future Steps, does everything she can to make sure she is following licensing requirements.  When my son turned one, she called licencing to make sure that he was allowed to stay in a crib and slowly be transitioned to a cot.  If she would call licencing over an issue as minor as this, I am assured that she is contacting licensing for more severe issues.  The door at Future Steps is locked 24 hours a day.  Renee is on hand as often as she can be to step in when needed.  I have never met a center director who cares for the children as much as Renee does.  Obviously, this person's girlfriend did not make the cut.  Although I did like your girlfriend as a teacher to my son, I'm sure that Renee had legitimate reasons for letting her go.  Next time you want to bash someone who you do not know personally, I advise you to get the full story.  I wish your girlfriend the best in her future.  Now that I know both sides of the story, I am more confident than ever that my son is in the best care possible.  If you are considering Future Steps for your child, please make sure you take the time to contact the center and judge it for yourself.

DO NOT let Future Steps care for your child. My girlfriend worked there for a few months and was fired for bring up health issues to the Owner/Manager. She helped out going in early and covering shifts to make sure the kids were well cared for on a daily basis. They do not have enough help. They run with one Caregiver for 9 children. THIS IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL.. Then when the Lead caregiver of the infant toddler room contracted RINGWORM, the Manager Renee did not address it and let her come to work WHILE INFECTED. My girlfried told her that was against health code and was very wrong. Renee let the Lead Caregiver handle the children with the infection, stating that since she took one day off of work and put ointment on it that it was ok.

Legally according to state guidelines if a caregiver or a child in a childcare establishment contracts ringworm, lice, or any other infectious issue, the parents must be notified immediately. Future Steps refused to do this because they said it would hurt business because they thought people would stop bringing their children there.

Please do not let these people care for your children.
