After working for CDS for years, I got an idea of what type of preschools/daycares are in Hernando Co. Some I would never place a child, and some are wonderful. Funtastik; is phenomenal!! The owners are on site and the director is devoted to the attention of every child and their needs as a whole and also as an individual. Their school is clean and it shows! There is no mildew smell, no cover-up smell, just clean which was one of the factors that sold me on this school. My daughter has transitioned very well into the daycare with the awesome ideas from the teachers. The teachers teach, not just babysit the 1's & 2's. My daughter at 13 months was doing sign language to get her point across. They encourage the children to do their best. Loads of hands on projects and teaching through different avenues. Also, the school is very involved with their parents and the community. One great security feature is the close monitoring in every room and the front door is locked. There is no key pad to get in, there is a door bell to ring after 10am to get in. This i think is great cause anyone can get a pin # to open a door. When its locked, no one will get in! The school is very up to date with new toys, books and learning. Their sign-in/out process is all electronic which is wonderful.
In all this is THE BEST daycare/preschool and also aftercare school in Spring Hill Fl. As a mother, and previous employee of Childhood Development Services, I give this school Triple AAAA+++.
