Description: The mission of Fredericksburg Cooperative preschool is to provide a developmentally appropriate, play-based preschool for 3 and 4-year olds focusing on the whole child. Using a center-based, individual choice model and a thematic curriculum we support hands-on learning, exploration and the natural curiosity of preschoolers. Our program focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth of children while helping to build positive character traits and strong interpersonal communication skills among our students.
Through teaching empathy and encouraging kindness we celebrate differences and form a caring community of compassionate young learners. As a school led by our membership, we strive to foster a loving environment that embraces each individual student and all of our participating families.
