Five Star Academy

The owner had the nerve to tell my I don't have a right to worry about the well being of these children cause they're not biologically mine. Neither does she cause they aren't hers either. I was told to get off the property because I confronted her on calling the police to do a wellnes check on the children all because they haven't been to daycare yet my fiance clearly explained over the phone why they wouldn't be attending anymore just hours before the police showed up
at our door. They refused to put our youngest son in underwear and constantly kept putting him in a diaper after we have asked them repeatedly NOT to do that. They lied and said it was "Virginia state law" to have a wellness check done just because they haven't showed up, that applies to PUBLIC SCHOOL ONLY, not daycare. As I was leaving, I had an employee threaten to slap me. IF AN EMPLOYEE IS GOING TO THREATEN TO HIT A PARENT OF A CHILD WHO ATTENDS THE DAYCARE, GOD KNOW WHAT GOES ON WHEN THE PARENTS AREN'T AROUND THEIR CHILDREN. They are absolutely horrible and I would recommend NEVER going there.

This is a great location. The staff are very kind, and very helpful. They actually teach and play with the kids and not set them in front of a TV. Very clean and organized. You can tell they care.

This place completely sucks. Please do not take your child here. They do not care about the children. The owners only care how much money they can pocket. Complete jokes of you ask me. Trust when I say any daycare in lynchburg is better than 5 Star (more like -5star)

I Love Five star! It's a wonderful daycare! The staff is very nice and helpful! The children are learning and growing!The director of the daycare is awesome and works hard!

I give the "1 star" rating because negative 5 was not an option. Initially, I was very excited about this day care, the people were very kind, professional and always had smiles on their faces.

Recently, I confronted the owner because I discovered my child was not fed when he needed to be. The owner stood her ground, saying that my baby needed to be on their schedule, so they skipped feeding her breakfast.

I gave the owner my 2 weeks cancellation notice, and she asked me to leave her property. I asked to get my child's things (diapers, wipes, clothes, sippy cup, etc.) and she told me if I didn't leave her property, she would call the police.

I left the building, and another mother came out and told me that the other workers were cussing in front of the children.

If you have any common sense, morals, and/or values, do not take your child to this day care.

I have not enrolled my child yet, but I am very seriously thinking about it. The price is great, and the staff member I talked to was great in answering any questions I had, and had a very "bubbly" personaility. I am very excited to enroll my child!
